San Francisco born, London raised artist Natty is a treasured icon of the UK’s music scene. Celebrating his 10 year anniversary since exploding onto the scene in 2008 with his debut album ‘Man Like I’, Natty and his band the Rebelship has been busy remixing old classics and creating new tracks for a Limited Edition package to be released this September followed by a 20 date UK Tour in November.

Entitled, ‘Man Like I and I…X’, the double-vinyl includes a re-mastered version of the original ‘Man Like I’ album, plus brand new recordings of favourite tracks featuring some of Natty’s close friends including: Seun Kuti, Benjamin Zephaniah, Maverick Sabre and El Fari & Ramzi (from Palestinian band 47soul). The album also shares an acoustic version of crowd favourite “Bedroom Eyes” and a track Natty recorded with Sly & Robbie that did not feature on the original album, alongside four stunning new original tracks to complete this collectors package.

A gifted musician from an early age, dabbling with many styles and instruments, Natty started his first band aged 10, and by age 16 he was a go-to beat-maker for local hip-hop acts. Natty started developing his sound after leaving school and getting a job at the world-famous Sphere Studios where he would experiment and work on his songs. Natty left the studio 4 years later working as a freelance producer whilst performing at open mic events around London. He was quickly spotted by Atlantic Records, signing with them in 2008 and putting out his first album, ‘Man Like I’. Its success captivated the attention of the UK, and the rest of the world, the single ‘Badman’ was a number 1 hit in Japan. He was dubbed a ’soul-reggae crossover sensation‘ by The Telegraph and has since continued to travel the world entertaining a loyal and ever-growing fan base of people from all walks of life. Natty says: “Bringing people joy and healing has been my greatest work”.

Performing on Later with Jools Holland, the ITV News and The BBC Electric Proms are amongst some of the TV highlights of Natty’s career. Artist collaborations include work with Nitin Sawhney, Roots Manuva, Tony Allen, Prince Fatty, Baba Maal, and Akala, which also led to touring with Ziggy Marley around USA, playing an unauthorised headline show in front of thousands in Khartoum, Sudan and performing in the U.N building (New York City) on World Humanitarian Day. Natty also produces his own live music events under the moniker Vibes and Pressure, which has also grown into a artist management and independent record label for the UK’s growing roots music scene.
