Den internationalen Durchbruch feierte er 2019 beim Eurovision Song Contest mit seinem Hit „Soldi“. Er begeisterte die Menschen auf dem gesamten Kontinent und erreichte am Ende hochverdient den 2. Platz. Nach der in kürzester Zeit ausverkauften Show in Berlin im Herbst 2019 geht er 2020 erstmals auf Deutschlandtour.

Mahmood bringt aber nicht nur zahlenbasierte Superlative mit sich, sondern auch ganz viel Gefühl – auf Platte und vor allem auch bei seinen Live-Konzerten. Italienischer Pop bekommt dank ihm einen Neuanstrich – die Songs gehen sofort ins Ohr, seine ausdrucksstarke Stimme sorgt für Gänsehaut und das Tanzbein will bei den schnellen Nummern auch umgehend geschwungen werden. Hierzulande ist er nach wie vor noch ein Geheimtipp: Seine Fans sollten sich die Chance also auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen, ihn in vier der besten Club-Locations Deutschlands erleben zu können.

For Mahmood, 2019 has been a triumphal year: after an acclaimed summer tour in the main Italian festivals, a new platinum record for Barrio (with 21 million streaming and 33 million views in two months) and a prize as Best Italian Act at the MTV European Music Awards, in the autumn of 2019 Mahmood also competed in his first international tour, Europa Good Vibes, which led him to cross the entire continent and beyond. The result was amazing: double sold out in London, hundreds of people singing his songs in Barcelona, amazing enthusiasm in Tel Aviv … But all this was just the beginning of his fantastic journey, which next year it will still take him far.

From April 2020 the Italian record artist will be back on the road with a new European tour starting from home in Milan, which will then continue to Belgium, Holland, France, England, Spain, Germany and Switzerland. Also this time it is only the beginning of a long journey that will keep Mahmood busy for 2020. To infinity and beyond!
