Tinlicker ist eine 2013 gegründete niederländische Band für elektronische Musik, bestehend aus Micha Heyboer (Schlagzeug, Tasten) und Jordi van Achthoven (Schlagzeug, Tasten). Der Name „Tinlicker“ kommt von „Circuit Bending“, also dem kreativen, zufallsbasierten Anpassen der Schaltkreise in elektronischen Geräten, um neue musikalische oder visuelle Instrumente und Klangerzeuger zu schaffen. Während man mit den Musikinstrumenten alle Hände voll zu tun hat, muss man das ‚Blech lecken‘ um die Dinge zum Laufen zu bringen. Tinlicker haben 2019 ihr erstes Studioalbum „This Is Not Our Universe“ veröffentlicht. Das Album wurde von Medien wie Billboard, DJ Mag, BBC Radio 1 und SiriusXM gelobt. Es folgte eine Reihe von gefeierten EPs und Singles, darunter Remixe für alt-J, Kosheen und deadmau5, ihr Beatport #1 Edit von Robert Miles‘ „Children“ und ihr mit Gold und Platin ausgezeichneter Song „Because You Move Me“ zusammen mit Helsloot.

With their second album released in 2022 called ‘In Another Lifetime’ – Tinlicker presents a brand new chapter as they demonstrate their vast personal and artistic growth. Including songs with Nathan Nicholson (The Boxer Rebellion), Jamie Irrepressible (Röyksopp) and ‚Rebirth‘ together with Hero Baldwin. Also in 2022 their tune ‚Hypnotised‘ was the official opening song of Tesla’s new factory in Texas and their song ‚Because You Move Me‘ reached Platinum in Germany, Triple Platinum in Switzerland, Triple gold in Austria, Platinum in France, Gold in Canada and Gold in their home country The Netherlands.
Tinlicker’s 2023 is all about playing concerts. Starting at Eurosonic, followed by Europe, North & South America and Australia. At ADE 2023 they play the official opening concert together with The Metropole Orkest. The first single with their new label [PIAS] comes out late September.
